Macromolecular Machines on Genes

The central theme of our work is understanding how proteins capture, cut, paste, remodel or repair DNA. We are studying the molecular mechanisms of DNA transposition, repair of protein-DNA complexes and the regulation of DNA methylation. We combine biochemical experiments with integrated structural biology tools, including X-ray Crystallography, Small Angle Scattering, NMR and Fluorescence Spectroscopy.
